Bakersfield, CA - Stephanie and I went to Buck Owen's Crystal Palace for Friday night dinner and drinks. For those of you who don't know country, Buck Owen's (1929-2006) is a well known country singer. He set up the Crystal Palace as a place to continue to share his music, as well as a place to display some of his memorabilia. The outside of the Crystal Palace isn't much of a sight to see, but once inside it's like a club for country lovers with music and dancing. While we were there, we listened to Buddy Alan Owens and The Buckaroos. All of the people who knew how to square dance were on the dance floor, and those of us who don't know just sat back and enjoyed the music. It was a great place to hang out, and ladies, if you're looking for a cute cowboy... ;)
